Does Your Loved One Need Treatment?
Helping a Loved One Begin Residential Treatment
Step 1:
Send a completed drug and alcohol evaluation, completed by a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, to our Case Manager via email at [email protected] to be considered for Residential Treatment.
Step 2:
Have your loved one give us a call at 402-477-3951 to confirm that the evaluation was received and to begin the next steps in the admissions process. It’s important that we speak directly with them to ensure they are ready and willing to engage in treatment.
Step 3:
Once our Admissions Committee reviews the evaluation, we’ll reach out to your loved one to discuss the next available opening. If we’re unable to admit them, we’ll provide referrals to other programs that may be a better fit for their needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will they be in treatment?
The length of stay depends on their unique needs and treatment goals. Every person’s journey is different, and we tailor the experience to support long-term success.
What will they do in treatment?
They’ll participate in programming designed to build coping skills for handling trauma and emotions. Therapeutic activities include yoga, art classes, nature walks, group and individual therapy, recovery meetings, and more.
What do days and weekends in treatment look like?
Days are filled with educational groups, therapeutic activities, and recovery-focused meetings. Weekends provide a mix of continued programming, recreation, and time for reflection.
Important Considerations
When Was Their Last Use?
-
Today: If they are currently intoxicated, they can voluntarily enter our medically monitored withdrawal program. Our nurses will ensure a safe and comfortable process. They will also meet with a counselor to discuss next steps and schedule an evaluation for treatment. To begin the process, they should call 402-477-3951.
-
More Than a Day Ago: If they are no longer intoxicated but are experiencing withdrawal symptoms, they can also enter our medically monitored withdrawal program. Our nurses will assist in making the process as safe and painless as possible, and they will have the opportunity to meet with a counselor for further steps. For assistance with entry into the program, have them call 402-477-3951.
What Substances Are They Using?
The Bridge provides a medically supervised program for detoxification from various substances, including alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. Individuals seeking assistance can reach out at 402-477-3951 for more information.
Who Can Get Help at The Bridge?
We serve men and women ages 19 and older in most of our programs, including withdrawal services. Women may access withdrawal services, respite, and outpatient treatment; however, those needing residential treatment will be referred to a partnering center. If your loved one is a minor in need of withdrawal services, please contact their doctor or visit an emergency department.
How Much Will It Cost?
As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to provide help, even for those who can’t pay. Depending on the program, we can assist in identifying payer sources, waiving or reducing fees, or accepting insurance. Don’t let cost prevent your loved one from seeking the treatment they need.
When Can They Start?
Now! We are open 24/7, all year round. For entry into our program, they can contact us at 402-477-3951. If you can provide a safe ride to our location and stay while they check in, it can greatly benefit their emotional well-being.
