Musical Serenity
| May 7, 2015
Thanks to our large third floor Loft space, The Bridge has the ability to offer recovery and community events to our clients. This space is used for many different events; whether it is an entertainment event or a big AA meeting that happens there every Sunday. The Loft allows the clients here at The Bridge to take part in different events that are alcohol free. It is important to provide these sober events to help show clients that they are able to enjoy themselves without substances.
Lincoln Association for Traditional Arts, also known as LAFTA, is a non-profit membership organization whose mission is to preserve and promote folk and traditional music, dance, and related arts in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. Over the past several years, the clients of The Bridge Behavioral Health have had the opportunity to enjoy LAFTA’s performances. This past January, clients had the opportunity to listen to the remarkable vocals and guitar work of the Chapin Sisters. Luckily, with them traveling all over the country preforming at sold out shows they made a stop at The Loft at The Bridge and “brought some serenity”, as one client said, to those here at The Bridge.
