9th Annual Tailgate Straight a success!
That’s a wrap! Last week, nine teams competed in the chili cook-off at Tailgate Straight. UNL Student Affairs walked away with the Judge’s Choice Award while Second Baptist Church received the coveted People’s Choice Award. Thank you to Lincoln Police Department Chief Bliemeister and Lincoln Fire & Rescue Chief Despain, Food Bank of Lincoln, University of Nebraska Police Department Dispatchers, Bluestem Health, The Bridge Board of Directors, employees, and clients for serving up their best chili for a good cause! Thank you also to Todd Wiltgen, Lori Vrtiska Seibel, and Phil Tegeler for judging and Woods & Aitken LLP for sponsoring the event. See you next year!
Tailgate Straight is an annual event for clients, alumni and the community to gather together and enjoy an alcohol-free tailgate party. The Bridge offers safe and sober social activities to help clients and those in recovery socialize without the use of alcohol.
Thank you to the many friends and family of The Bridge who attended our annual family-friendly fundraising event. Your donations help us continue to serve our clients and residents in treatment.
