Over the last several weeks, clients and staff at The Bridge have been faced with the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19. Leadership worked quickly, in collaboration with peer organizations and governing bodies, to make difficult decisions that prioritized the health and well-being of our clients and staff.

Our doors remain open to clients in need of protective custody, withdrawal services, and residential treatment. Recent reports indicate that mental health emergencies and substance use are rapidly increasing in light of current events, which makes The Bridge’s services more essential than ever.

However, keeping clients and staff safe while remaining open has had a significant impact on our bottom line. The purchase of protective equipment, technology investments to provide virtual services, and a reduction in census to increase distancing capabilities all resulted in unexpected expenses and decreased revenue.

We hope that you will join us in making sure that our mission remains sustainable as we navigate this unknown territory. Making a donation to help defray these additional costs would be a great help as we move forward in this unpredictable time. Additionally, donations made now through May 28 qualify for a match through the Lincoln Community Foundation for Give to Lincoln Day.
