The anticipation is building and it’s like Christmas around here! As the final touches are being wrapped up on the remodeling of the 3rd Floor, our staff and clients can’t wait to make this space the new Residential Treatment Unit.

This week, Ayars & Ayars will move out and our clients will move in! Residential treatment clients will move up to their third floor living space which includes bedrooms, bathroom, lounge and dining room connected to the fully functional commercial kitchen. They’ll also have access to three new group rooms designed for their daily educational activities and their counselors will be nearby in their new offices on the same floor.

Daily meetings for Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Al-Anon will settle back into their regular spaces. The Gathering Room has had a complete facelift and The Loft, which has served as an important over-flow space during construction, will return to hosting the city’s largest meetings on the weekends, as well as Soberoke and other sober entertainment.

What’s next?

Phase 4: February through April – Ayars & Ayars will begin construction of our new state-of-the-art Medical Withdrawal Unit and Respite Area which will include a nurses station connecting Civil Protective Custody and the voluntary withdrawal area. Once the residential clients move up to 3rd Floor, their old 2nd Floor living space will become temporary quarters for the active Withdrawal Unit and Respite.

Throughout the process, we’ll remain open 24/7 to continue to serve our community.

We are about half way through the construction process and are 12% away from reaching our $1.5 Million fundraising goal.
